Th350 delayed reverse problem!?
I helped a buddy install a th350 transgo 1&2 kit. Everything went as instructed but he now has a delayed reverse issue. On cold start it want even try to engage reverse. Once warm it takes 5-6 seconds to engage. It had a slight delay in reverse before the kit install. All other forward gears shift great.
I have rebuilt alot of trannies over the yrs but wanted to ask one thing tht came to my attention. The transgo kit dual feeds the direct clutch. Is it possible tht the trans already had the internal dual feed mod and with the kit we now have a reverse circuit leak? Is this possible?

It is possible that you have a leak in that circuit...
When dual feeding the direct clutch, the internal way...
The reverse feed passage at the pump itself or the case, should be plugged off.
Other wise pressure will not build to apply the direct clutch.
The reverse gear range will require the Low-Reverse clutch and the Direct clutch to be applied to operate properly.
I would see if you have engine braking in manual first gear.
If you do not have engine braking, then the Low-Reverse clutch is your problem.
