Gen 4 ISS wiring question
Wiring up a 4l80e from a harness that was originally designed for a 6l80e. This has been quite a chore but I'm just about there. The question I have is for the ISS signal, do I run a wire off of my t42 harness to the front sensor and add a ground or does it just take 1 wire? I do have VSS high and low wires also, can I piggy back the low signal off of the VSS for the ISS?
thanks, Todd
Each speed sensor needs two wires.
The control module will have a terminal that acts as a shared sensor ground.
Each speed sensor will need to tie into this.
The second wire for each speed senor will have to be a dedicated input to the control module.
If you can get some shielded 2 conductor or 3 conductor wire from Holley EFI (or something similar) that would be ideal.
