Default Fbody output shaft length question.

I'm converting a 99 model 4wd 4l60e to 2wd to go in my 93 Trans Am behind a 5.3l truck motor. Can anyone tell me if all 2wd output shafts are the same length or do I need to be searching for a certain one for my swap. WARNING: This is my first LS swap so I'm still in the learning curve from old school SBC stuff so bare with me please.

4X4 shafts are shorter; believe me, I found out the hard way on my swap. Any LS output should do; I can't say for sure about the older 4L60e outputs.

You're going to have to completely tear down the transmission to change it, so I'd recommend refreshing it while you're at it, and doing a few helpful mods as well (EX: block the 4th accumulator and 3-2 valves).
