Default Hit a Manhole Cover and Lost Tranny Fluid

My brother has a '67 Chevelle with a 6.0L/4L60 swap and the car rides LOW. I replaced his oil pan last winter as it cracked after hitting too many roads and looks like I've got more work ahead of me this year. He hit the pavement that was built up around a manhole cover and the tranny started pumping oil out immediately. It had scraped up the oil pan but didn't crack it but somehow something let go in the tranny. The fluid was coming out from the front of the bellhousing as the starter is dripping wet, I'm not sure if he cracked the front pump or took out the converter or what. Anyone else experience something like this?

Clean it all off and look real good at it while someone starts it up and if it is coming out the front then you need to pull it out.
