my 4l60e has failed. I bought a new trans back in May, just getting around to install it.
it looks like from my research it has the normal input shaft and not the ls motor shaft.
im going to call the trans place in the morning, pretty sure I specified ls1 when I ordered, so my few questions to find the cheapest option
i have a yankSS3600 converter currently,
can I use the non LS trans as it is, and get a new torque converter? Or send it to get rebuilt to accept the regular 4l60e input shaft
2nd option is pay a trans shop to change the input shaft?
and looking at these I don’t think the shaft in the new trans is one of these either. I’ll post a pic in the am

Changing the input shaft means basically disassembling the transmission, so doing that amounts to rebuild. The SS3600 is expensive; I can't see changing that out unless there is something wrong with it. It seems to me that if the trans shop sent you the wrong transmission, the solution is to return it and have them send you the right one.
