4L80e behind L92
I have read the sticky thread at the top, so my donor trans does not have a Converter can I buy a Converter that matches my L92 flex plate or do I need the 4L80 converter and then a truck 6.0 flex plate and spacer?
2nd I originally wanted it to be a all manual trans but as I read more here that’s not probably all that do able or even needed. I guess my biggest goal is the ability to manual shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd as this is a dune toy. But if the wife take it for a drive she just throws it in “D” and it does all the shifting. Nothing special need to be done during the rebuild?
thanks

If you have a converter made, you can have it setup to match whatever flexplate you're using.
I told PTC I was running a stock 4L60e flexplate on my 4.8 when they built my custom TH400 converter, and they made the converter to fit the flexplate with zero need for adapters/bushing/spacers.
You can manually shift a 4L80e, but I would recommend some kind of shift kit for it.
