Torque converter help?

Torque converter help? Who makes a decent converter that won't break the bank. I've been looking and found Circle D 278mm HP https://www.circledspecialties.com/4l60-hp-series-278mm that fits the budget. My motor builder doesn't like these, but maybe he got a lemon. Any others manufactures that make a nice converter for around $500. APP. - 6.0 N/A est.525 crank HP, 4l60e, 3000lbs car, 3.55 rear, 99% street diving, Cam should have a 3000 stall converter. Thanks Also, is the Upgraded Billet Front needed for my power level?

anyhoo, can't go wrong with Circle D. They have patented internals and have seen a few of their cheaper ones behind big power and no problems. But if planning to run boost or nitrous, gonna have to kick in the extra $$$.

When it comes to converters, I've learned don't be cheap. A good converter can make or break a project. In your case I'd do no less than a yank SS 3600. DON'T FEAR THE CONVERTER!!!!!! I've been unhappy with a (cheap) one, then bought the right one. Old phrase "being cheap is expensive".....

Don't cheap out on the converter you'll regret it trust me.Buy once cry once. I have a Circle D 2E converter BNIB I'd be willing to sell for a decent amount under retail if interested. Also on a LS car I'd go 3600 minimum but if you're like me after awhile even that will feel too small.
