How far can I lower the tailshafthouseing?

How far can I lower the tailshafthouseing? Forgot to put in the top bolt for the torque arm on tailshafthouseing,car is 97 camaro ls1 ,it’s hard to see behind the motor- firewall , maybe take out the motor mount bolts too?anyone done this? Hate to lift up the body!!

Why are you thinking you need to remove motor mount bolts for the torque arm?
If you're looking to tip the transmission down just remove your air lid then remove transmission cross member and it will tilt down without removing motor mount bolts
