Default Using a 6l90 shifter for a 4l60e?

Is it possible to use a 6l90 shifter for a 4l60e. Other that the amount of gears I'm wondering if the indents are the same. The CTS-V doesn't have 1,2,3, but does have D and tap shift. I would like to make work. I don't think the T42 computer will let me do that. What's your thoughts. Thanks

Sorry no one has answered you yet.
I certainly do not know the correct answer, but wanted to bump this up and add that if necessary you could modify the shift lever on the 4L60E and/or drill a new pivot hole to make it agree with the indents from your shifter.
