Default 4l80 Hitting Rev Limiter Uggh!!!

My shift point is set at 6700 with rev limiter set at 7000 and it hits jet everytime. Its just a bored 6.0 n/a so not like im making lots of power to hurt 4l80 which has transgo kit and fti 4000 hard hit stall going to 4.56s in my single cab.

Anybody have any idea or suggestions? Id like to be able to enjoy my build and cant like this. Thanks in advance...

A. verify fluid level and fill the thing up
B. command the shift earlier...from the time the computer says "go"...the solenoids have to activate...fluid has to fill the circuit...stroke a valve...fill a larger circuit...move a piston...clamp a clutch
that takes time
4.56 gear and that converter I'm sure has the acceleration rate of the rpm graph looking pretty steep
Just command it earlier and you'll be fine

if you're on the stock PCM I've found you really need the RPM and MPH WOT shift points to be unified. Some OS's do not like disabling one table by zeroing the enable point.

I do as MM stated and lower the commanded shift point, incrementally until I'm happy. I do this in the blue cat trans tuning application so as to unify the tables, and then export the data to the tuning software

Bluecat software is a great tool to get you in the ballpark
usually it needs a couple soft tweeks, but it does a great job overall

if you're familiar with the software you will notice it has a lead time factor that you can adjust

A car with 300hp, 2.73 gears and an 1800 "stall" converter...it will get no lead

something with 800hp, 4.56 gears, and a 4500 "stall" converter...it'll be getting some lead factor added in haha
