4L60E parts availability and possible subs?
New Ac Delco reverse drum was out of stock locally and I guess on back order. I found one and had it shipped in.
Is the aftermarket replacements any good? Years ago I thought they had issues with the Lugs spreading out on performance stuff.
In the past I have had no issues with the regular bonded pistons. My local supplier was out of the 3-4 piston and gave me a Blue Hi-per bonded unit instead. the other 2 pistons are regular black rubber. I have never used them before. Are these any good or should I track down a normal one???
Between Price increases and parts availability I bought all the performance stuff elsewhere. It's getting tough to support my local supplier
The ACDelco is a tiwan product and so is the quality aftermarket...because they are the exact same thing, with a different sticker on the box
the blue piston is fine...but a waste of money imo
The Reverse input was in a generic White box. I think it was something like $58. Had the same Square lube hole but the outer finish seems Odd, possibly a coating? I didn't want to mess with it too much since I wasn't buying it and he had to resale it.
I forgot about the pressure sensor manifold too. I could only get aftermarket one. Same type of packaging, generic white box. This I do need so I purchased it. Haven't found a delco unit yet.
