A new member from Australia,looking at purchasing an engine trans combo for a Camaro project. I have an opportunity to purchase a LS1 (5.7) mated with a 4L65E. The LS1 is from a Holden Adventra (V8 Station Wagon) and the 4L65E is from a Holden Ute (Pickup) The seller has mated the gearbox and engine however the gearbox has 8 boltholes howver only 6 lineup with the engine, 2 are misaligned. The seller tells me that the splines lined up however the bolt mismatch has me concerned. So far my inquiries here haven't answered my question. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar problem and can advise if I will have issues? Most LS1 (5.7lt
) over here would be mated to a 4L60E however the 4L65E was mated to a L98 (6.0lt) Any advice appeciated
If you are referring to the Bell-Housing Bolts that thread into the Engine Oil-Pan...
You would have to change the Engine Oil-Pan in order to use all of the Bolts.
If you have 6 of the Bell-Housing Bolts installed into the Cylinder-Block...
Then that is all that is really required.
