Using stock 4l80e converter - anybody? Has anyone tried and enjoyed the stock converter of a truck 4l80e? Think I'd like to try one not b/c of the cost, but I'd like to feel as much part-throttle torque as possible vs a more slippery converter. I know better converters are better for sure at part throttle but I'd like something that is as tight as possible so I can feel the 6.2's torque curve driving around. Plan on having a mild cam with this L94 build in a SN95. Thanks!!!!

read this...seems like you're asking for something similar
You can get a tight converter that feels connected to the throttle more...but it won't feel as fast and it won't be as fast
If you want to feel like you have a manual transmission and are THAT tied to the throttle...get a manual trans
