4L70e Tailshaft

4L70e Tailshaft I'm building a 4L60e for autocross using a lot of Sonnox Parts. I had to draw the line on costs when it came to the Tail Shaft. I understand that GM has a stronger Tail Shaft in the newer 4L70e's . I see Summit sells a AC- Delco generic one but there is no description other than it fits the 4L line on transmissions. So does anybody have a GM part Number ? I'm looking for a 2WD one. I would think the performance cars would use it, Maybe every 4L70e has them ? There is probably a physical difference in the Tail Shafts. How do You tell the difference by looking at them ? Just to be clear, I'm looking for the Tail Shaft, not the Tail Housing.

There is not a better shaft that came from any of the 4L70E units.
GM does not offer any new input or output Shafts... Only reman./ recond. shafts.
So I recommend that you purchased a Cryo-Treated 4L60E shaft instead from Pro-Built Automatics...
It would be stronger and less expensive.
