Default 4l80e planet thrust washer

IME, the '99 and later units use a ptfe coated "batwing" washer and the earlier ones use the plain bronze round washers.

those of you that build, which do you favor for performance applications?

Neither...

The THM350 Pump Torrington Bearing is a 4L80E's (and THM400/ 3L80) best friend.

Cut the Reaction Carrier or the Output Carrier for one of these Torrington Bearings.

I add Three of these Torrington Bearings to every unit.
