4l60e VS 6l80e Roll Racing
a general discussion about 4 vs 6 gear auto ,lot of my friends & other racers saying that the 6l80e is way better than 4l60e when doing street racing (rolling) is that true ! & what is the advantage of having 6l80e ?
If the vehicle with the 6-Speed 6L80E is a Garbage Truck that weighs 15,000 Lbs, and has a small diesel engine producing 200 HP...
and the vehicle with the 4L60E is a Camaro that weights 3,000 Lbs, and has an engine producing 1,000 HP...
Who do you think would win a 1/4 Mile Drag-Race???

With a properly designed high stall torque converter this all turns into complicated math and much of this can be designed into the torque converter and it turns very grey, search for STR and Shift Extensions and torque multiplication and you'll get some ideas. But since your question was about transmissions I think my statement above sums it up reasonably well.
