4l60e reverse piston
The remainder should be good to go.
I would recommend that any Orificing and Spring changes that you make...
are on the more conservative side.
You can always enlarge the Orifices, or go to a more aggressive Spring afterwards.
It is far less easy to reduce the size of the Orifices.
Good Luck and have fun!

But in trying to get the piston into a new TY brand drum, I tore the outer seal. The original seal from '07 was a little hard and removing it with a pick, I see it has an indent where the pick partially (not positive) penetrated into the rubber but can't tell if it went in far enough to go thru to the other side. (the pick went into the top surface of the seal in the piston groove. is it savable? anything like WD to soften the original? do I need to buy another? Will have to wait til the 1st. It took hours playing around with different size feeler gauges and busted bloody knuckles from the drum notches. Thanks & sorry if this went slightly off topic--it would be senseless to start a new thread about the reverse piston.)
Changes were made, including a new design Manual-Valve...
The 1996 and Up Units should not have that modification performed.
As for Pre-1996 Units...
I still do not recommend the modification, as there are better ways to achieve the same goal.
Hardly anyone uses a Core that old, so I never really get into discussing it.
