Default 5.3 LM7 with 200-4R

Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask. But I've seen a few threads here in the past that have given vague answers or filled with personal opinions on why it's a bad idea..... so I thought I'd join and give it a try myself.

I have a plan to use carbureted 5.3 LM7 motor that I'm wanting to attempt to pair up with a 200-4R transmission (that yes has the chevy bolt pattern) in order to avoid using any electronics or stand alone units for a 4L65E

So what I'm trying to find out is if anyone knows or has a list of what parts/adapters/flex plates/etc that I would need to make this week.

Much thanks and appreciation to anyone who could help.

It is very simple.
It is more common today, to have a custom Torque-Converter made, to join the two.

However, the traditional way (also for a THM700-R4, THM350, THM200, or PowerGlide) to use the THM200-4R with a Gen-3/ -4 SBC is:
-Use a THM200-4R Torque-Converter of your liking.
-Use a GM Flex-Plate Spacer with longer Flex-Plate to Crank-Flange Bolts: HyperLink

-And last, use a Gen-3/ -4 SBC Swap Flex-Plate with a DUAL-PATTERN for the Torque-Converter Bolts.
The 10.75" Pattern is for Transmissions used with Gen-1/ -2 SBCs (like the THM200-4R).
The 11.066" Pattern is for Transmissions used with Gen-3/ -4 SBCs (like the Late 4L60E, However the 4L80Eand THM400 are an exception):
HyperLink

The 4L80E and THM400 would us a separate Bolt-Pattern of 11.50".

The THM200-4R Transmissions all have a Dual-Pattern Case for Chevrolet, and then the BOPC Engines as well.
You will use the Chevrolet Pattern, and use 5 Bolts to attach the Engine and Transmission (instead of 6 Bolts).

Please read the "Forum Sticky Thread" (that goes over this topic in detail) in the HyperLink below:

Good luck and have fun!
