Gear Vendors / Speedo question While researching the GV OD unit, I found the following info on a website. I thought we had to get a 4L80e speedo kit or something?
"If you were getting a GV, you don't need to get a speedo gear/vss for the th400 - see I could have saved 100$s if someone told me this - as you simply connectthe stock speedo wiring harness to the GV speedo plug (which is a stock gm speedo gear, AC delco package at least) and then you splice the electronics together."
Is this true? What speedo kit do we need for the Th400?

Yes, it's true. The GV uses a GM-type VSS and includes the associated electronics to generate the VSS signal. This will feed the cluster/ABS/PCM. When ordering the unit you must specify your tire size and gear ratio so the appropriate calibrations can be made to the controller.
