Default 4l65e swap slipping gears

I have a 69 Camaro with a LS1 and a 4l65e and I can’t get the torque converter to lockup. It’s a new trans and converter from Monster Trans (it’s actually the second one. The first one blew up in the first 50 miles). I’ve had the PCM reprogrammed many times but it’s still won’t lockup between 2-3-4. Fluid level is good. I’m running the American Wire harness but I’m wondering if it’s a TCC wiring issue. I’ve researched it and I think terminal A on the trans plug should be hot with key on but it’s not. I don’t know if that is my problem or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Monster Transmission... Ehhh Yuuuuck!
I was hoping by now that we (LS1Tech Members) had created enough of a Bad Reputation for Monster Transmission...
That No one would purchase anything from them anymore.

What color is the Body of the large round Electrical Connector that is sticking out of the Transmission on the Passenger-Side?

Grey, Black, or Light-Blue?

And just to be clear... I am referring to the color of the Connector that sticks out of the Case (use the examples in the Image above)...
NOT the color of the external Harness Connector that plugs into the Transmission Connector.

Different Model Year 4L60E/ 65E/ 70E Transmissions can have different Terminal-Arrangements/ Pinouts.
Terminal "A" is not usually a 12V Positive location.

Please reply what Color you have, and better yet...
Take an image of the Terminals inside the Connector (so I can see the Terminal-Arrangement).

Use the Terminal-Arrangement Image below, as an example of what I mean for the Image:

Have you verified that the PCM is actually commanding lock-up? Have you tried to manually command lock-up? If so and no go your thinking seems sound.

Lock-up should take place in 3rd & 4th only.

Thanks @vorteciroc for the detailed info. My plug is the gray plug but unfortunately the fit in the car is so tight that I can’t get a picture of the pin layout.

Honestly, I wish I would have done more research on Monster. I won’t be making that mistake again.

also, I believe it was ordered as a replacement for a 2001 Tahoe. Not sure if that helps or not…

Hi RevGTO, can you explain how to manually command lockup?

With a tuning programmer - Tech II, HPTuners, EFILive, maybe a Snap-on programmer or others offer this feature.
