4l60e 2nd and ov drive gone.
4l60e trans issue .
My name is Eric shackleford I own a 93 Silverado series suburban. I have first and third I have to manually shift from first to third. No 2nd or overdrive at all they are gone. Like don't exist . Shift into second and I'm still in first. Regular drive is only third no shifting at all... I lost my done light the night before and it just blows fuses.

That sure sounds like a Trans control related issue, maybe lack of power to the transmission.
I'd check all the fuses with a multi meter (Pull them, clean them test and put them back. )
Check the transmission connections, the ECU connector and the firewall connector.. Inspect, Clean & grease as required reconnect.
If its not electrical... It needs a hammer..
Good luck.

Good luck. I would be suspect of the 2/4 band. Either is worn out and not holding or its broke. There is a way you can test this with the pan off, but not sure how inclined you are......
Good luck

Most likely the band is worn. You can check this by prying on the 2-4 servo cover on the right side of the transmission and measure how far into the transmission you can move the cover. Should move only around 1/8 of an inch. Some people have removed the servo pistons and welded a glob on the end of the pin and ground it down to get the correct travel or replaced the pin with Sonnax Extra Long Servo Pin part # 77787-02K and have been able to extend the life of the transmission longer. Even with the Sonnax pin you will need to grind it to the proper length,
I have attached the instruction to the Sonnax pin.

...or you can turn the driveshaft clockwise, apply air to the 2nd apply hole in the case and if you can keep turning the driveshaft the band is your issue. Of course you will have to remove the VB.....
