Default Flexplate bolts for spacer

Was wondering if any of you guys have used the shorter .880" length flexplate bolts instead of the longer 1.06" bolts with the spacer and dished flexplate. Im bolting my th400 up to my 6.0 and forgot to buy the longer bolts but then I wondered if you actually needed them? They stick out passed the flexplate and spacer still even though the bolts I have on hand right now are the .880" bolts? I dont know figured id ask and see if anyone else has done this before. Thanks

Any threads that are sticking out after torquing down the flex plate are wasted. Do the .880" bolts go all the way through the threading on the crank?
If they do, use them.
