4L60E Street/Strip Shift Kit?

4L60E Street/Strip Shift Kit? I did a quick search around but I’m under a pseudo time crunch because I’m taking it into the shop on Tuesday and I’m toying with the idea of a shift kit while it’s in there.
So I was wondering if someone could help me get down to the nitty gritty. So far my search turned up that B&M is crap and the Transgo SK4L60E is so so. Is there a shift kit that won’t beat you to death, and is one even worth it on a stock ‘00 Z28? If so what’s the go-to kit for a street/strip with more street that strip? Would money be better spent on a mail order tune as far as “transmission tuning” goes? Or would a shift kit and a tune be even better?
What would y’all guess a ballpark labor figure would to have a kit installed? Worth it yes, no, maybe? I’m looking for something on the tamer side of things. I don’t want it to bang real hard.

A TransGo HD2 with feed holes drilled on the conservative side and no shims in the 1-2 accumulator. There are a few steps in the kit that can only be done with the trans apart, but it is okay to ship those steps. As for labor I am not sure, as I have only installed the kit on rebuilds. If I had to guess somewhere in the $300 range.
