Sonnax 1-2 accumulator spring
I'm doing the pinless 1-2 and 3-4 pistons and planning on using new purple springs in both spots in the stock position, Sonnax tech support
said don't use the inner spring with theirs, haven't found anything definitive online.
Shifts fine otherwise, won't set the code till you cruise at 70 or better for a long time. Wouldn't touch it otherwise. Not my first automotive rodeo, this swap's been a regular driver for
well over 100K with no real trouble that isn't related to it being British.
Done a lot of things but never fiddled with auto trans much before.
There is a HELL of a lot of conflicting info/recipes/suggestions/magic floating around.
I'd like to build one of these one day for fun, this one I just want to do it once and get back
to the other projects.
Consequently, too late. Valve body with the Sonnax fix installed already ordered (since I had more money than time for this one and I don't want to do it twice).
I assume they market to trans repair shops/professionals and advertise in trade rags, I literally have not seen word one about them while searching
off and on for a couple weeks about 4l60e tcc issues. Will keep them in mind if something else comes up though, thanks.
