So i am rebuilding my transmission and once i got to the pump cover, i have noticed it has some wear right here. I can run my fingernail across it and its a pretty noticeable groove. Ive already soaked alot of money into this thing and was wondering if i should send it or what? I cant find just the cover only the whole pump. Please help. Is this normal wear?

 

The Pump Half in your Image requires replacement.

You can purchase just that Half.
Pump Components are Model-Year specific; so you will need to have an idea of what Year the Transmission is from.

I would recommend that you try WIT (Whatever It Takes) Transmission Supply, for that Half ASSEMBLED.
