Default Ly6 & 4l60e

Hi guys
looking at some info on doing my landcruiser ls swap!
There's 2 ly6's available at reasonable prices but both have the 6l90e transmission which would be great but would need modifying to go in my 80 series! i.e output shaft, mounts & transmission selector as far as I'm aware!
but a work buddy has offered a free 4l60e that needs rebuilding!
So my question is would a built 4l60e handle a moderately cammed ly6 and still be reliable for a DD?
Or just try modding the 6l90 🤷
thanks Matt

Yes, the 4L60e can handle that power reliably if given a proper rebuild. In proper, I mean addressing all of the hydraulic leaks in the valve body, pump, case and input drum.

I've had a 4L60E in my LS6 swapped 98 Wrangler for over 14 years with zero problems. More or less stock 4L60E. Big stacked plate trans cooler. 2000 stall converter. I used Novak for all the swap parts.
