Default 4L60E high stall and lock up tuning

Hey guys, Ive just tuned a cammed LS1 and 4L60 with a 3000 stally, all tuning is good apart from lockup operation, when cruising in overdrive on light throttle the lockup operates harshly on and off, what's the best way to rectify this? disable the lockup completely? TIA

If the PWM TCC has been deactivated lock up apply will be harsh. You can try setting the tune to lock up only in 4th gear and raise the lock up speed to 50 mph. You can play around with the lock up speed that works the best for you. I would not advise disabling lock up all together, that could cause the trans to overheat.

do not mess with the pwm apply ramp.
These work best with on/off style apply
if it is too aggressive or jerky you should change the apply activation parameters.
I agree with bbond...usually only 4th gear and at higher speeds/lower loads.

Agree with above do not disable will cause trans to over heat at cruising speeds/ 4th gear lockup above 50 works pretty well in most apps,

I like the pwm min apply % to something high. It feels like another shift when it locks up. But after a stall you need to change your mph/gear shifting as well as lockup speed/gear.

What I should have said when saying "PWM TCC has been deactivated" is when the PWM is deactivated in the valve body. Sorry if some thought I was referring to deactivating in the tune.
