Default 460le tcc cirquit

im looking at an (online) manual where the tcc-pwm solenoid seems to be missing. are there (maybe an early version*?) transmissions without this? does my 99 c5 have one?

in this manual a "tcc signal valve" has line pr. and 2nd clutch pr. as inputs and produces a tcc signal that modulates tc feed fluid pr. (from prv/boost valve) in the tccv.
i was thinking the "regulated apply valve" is modulated by afl pr. from the tcc-pwm solenoid, has line pr. as input and sends regulated apply pressure to the tccv to modulate the tc feed fluid pr.

conclusion: tcc signal valve = regulated apply valve. yes?

* could anybody point me to "later version" manual?

(im trying to educate myself, maybe im just confused.)

You must be looking at a very old manual 93 to early 94 But yes later 94 and up have the PWM solenoid . You should be able to find the atsg manual online https://procarmanuals.com/pdf-online...repair-manual/

thank you. yes, thats it, the only manual i found for download was a 1993. i didnt realize there were such differences. in the meantime i found a pdf of the 2020 manual you lined to. i was able to download it from this link (if any other noob is looking for info):

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...al-pdf-418823/

what im curious about is the regulated apply fluid loop through orifice #8 back to the reg apply valve. there is not a description of the orifices in the manual, if im not missing something. what purpose does this have? damping of the cirquit? (i understand there a many valves set up like that, i just dont know why.)

They regulate rate of apply in many circuits or in case of converter feed to tcc enable to restrict flow so solenoid is not flooded causing erratic tcc apply at higher line pressures

Thanks for the tips and the PDF manual. You’ve been a big help to me too. But I found that my previously saved PDFs stopped opening. I was advised to use the tool https://euroweeklynews.com/2024/02/2...tal-documents/ from the article to convert the files to a different format. Since it works online and is quite simple, I managed to do it very easily, so I’d recommend it if anyone runs into the same problem.
