Default analog speedometer to vss 4l60e

Im doing a ls swap on my 72 c10. 2005 5.3 with 4l60 e trans.I have the new intellitronix analog gauges that came with a screw on VSS. The 4l60e has the electric VSS with a purple and yellow wire. The speedometer has a white -red and black wire. Red being power black being ground and white going to the VSS. Is there a way to hook into the 4l60e VSS ?? Thanks for any help

The best way to get a good speed signal is the 4k pulses/mile directly from the ECU. The speed sensor is a VR sensor as far as i remember. You need the speed sensor connected to the ECU anyways as it is needed for shift control. You can calibrate the speed output by changing rear end gear and tire size to match yours.
The signal is also great for cruise
