I just decided to fill the grove with epoxy aluminum welding and after sanding the results looks pretty good

Good quality epoxy weld

After leaving it to set for 20min

After sanding the epoxy with 400 grade sand paper, then the whole meeting serves area with flat rood and 1200 grade sand paper. I think this will be good to go. Please feel free to comment thanks

That is an appropriate repair in this instance.
It should hold just fine assuming you've block sanded the whole case passage area.
Your epoxy choice looks OK too.
