Default 4l60e shifting issues and Idle issue.

Hi all,

Tried scanning through the forms to find a similar type of scenario but couldnt find the exact same issue.

Car is a 98 Trans am A4 5.7 with a 4L60e that was recently rebuilt with a shiftkit.

Issue I have currently is after I installed the BTR stage 2 cam and did a tune, the Tranny seems a bit off.
Prior to tune and cam, car was shifting okay and had no issues.

Currently Symptoms:
when I pin the gas pedal car revs up to about 3K RPM and holds there until car hits about 60km/h.
One it hits about 60km it downshifts and transmission seems to shift after that.

Secondary issue, not sure if related:
since the CAM and Tune is my idle is all over the place, when I start the car the RPM will sit up at 2K and then drop to normal, when I change into drive or reverse it again revs up to about 1.5K and then drops down.
I swapped out the entire throttle body with another OEM donor and even changed out the IAC,and TPS sensors trying to see if that is the issue with some minior improvement. I've done the IAC and TPS relearn and numbers seem about right.

Kind of stuck at the moment with what to do, tuner has tried to remediate the issue with no luck, seems to resolve the idle issue temporarily but when I start up the car the next day the issue seems to return.

I think you would get better results with this question in the tuning section, Many things can have effect on how the trans acts. In this case since all was good before cam I would say tuning and a cam depending on size can have huge effect . I would repost this in tuning section
