Default Failing Aftermarket Torque Converter???

Hey y’all,
Just finished a full engine swap (5.3-6.2, GenV) in my 2015 silverado with a 6l80e. We installed a boss hog 2400 stall converter in it, and when tuning began we took it on the street to mess with the transmission and noticed it would almost fail to lockup when attempting to shift so it would just keep bouncing on itself. This only occurs under medium-heavy load though. Normal load and it shifts normally. I just need some advice on what may be going on here. Another tuner said the new torque converter may need a lot of line pressure but he hasn’t seen that in a while. Another person said the stall was too big for my 210/223, .550”/.550”, 111LSA cam in the 6.2. Which i didn’t agree with as much but if so and I need a new converter. What would match? Anything is going to help me here because i have spent an insane amount of time on this truck and I almost had it working. Now we need to solve this!!!
Thank y’all

2400 is a nothing converter and no way to big. I would monitor lockup in data and what it is doing commanded at the shifts .

failing to lockup at the commanded shift point…
trans mechanic is putting it on a pressure gauge right now, we are assuming it’s a valve body/line pressure issue.

it seems like a hydraulic issue since it changes with pedal input. maybe the lockup oring got nicked when installing the converter. or the oring is worn enough not to make a positive seal. maybe an issue with the sealing surface inside the converter. i usually change this oring on converter replacement. also when installing the converter i apply plenty of transgel to the oring and add fluid to the converter so as not to have a dry startup. these converters are heavy and require some care keeping it level with the input when engaging it to the pump.

Some one else reported this same issue with a Boss Hog convertor recently.
