Shorter 4l60E tail housing?
Hi all. 5.3 + 4L60E swap into a 64 F250 with divorced transfer case.
Is there a shorter tail housing swap option available for a 4L60E?
The engine sits beautifully in the truck as-is, but I don't have enough room for a double cardan between the transmission and the transfer case.
This is the situation at present!
My other options are to notch the front crossmember (a lot), move the transfer case backwards and re-do the front and rear driveshafts, or fit a (rare) passenger-drop married transfer case. Just trying not to go down those roads if I can.
Thanks!

They do not currently make a 4l60e option, but you may be able to get in touch with them and they could make one
Their 4l80e units take a 4wd tailshaft and a billet tailhousing and make it behave like a 2wd.
You could do the same with your 4l60e...you'd of course have to replace the tailshaft which requires a trans teardown/rebuild
