4l65 issue . I have 2 issues started at the same time
#1 the transmission is in reverse when in park (no not the linkage) in park the engine is loaded like it is in gear. When I shift out of park, as soon as the parking pawl releases it is already in reverse.
#2 happened at about the same time, I now suddenly have engine braking in every gear when the shifter is in the OD position

If your Linkage and all corresponding Parts are good and aligned properly...
Then most likely you are going to need a Valve-Body, as it seem that the Manual Valve is leaking fluid through it's Bore in the different Gear Selector Positions.
