Default Torque converter

Installing torque converter to my 4L80E. With a flat edge from trans/eng mating surface to mounting lug on torque converter.
Is 9/16" in enough. I can't feel the 3rd engagement.

You should only feel two. But to my eye it's not in far enough.

No, the correct length is about 1 1/16", it's not in all the way.

Dragged the image from my folder. Wow, so big.

Converter is in. Brand new PTC and a fresh O ring. Removed o ring and it eventually slipped on. Almost an 1".
Reinstalled O ring. Lubed the inside of the converter neck and gave it a lil more push.
