Default 4L80E in '96 K2500: Rebuild Advice Needed

Howdy y'all! Yes, if it isn't clear from my intro, I'm from Texas. Now, to the thick of it. I am totally new to the whole online forum thing, so forgive me if I'm in the wrong place. If I am, please let me know where I can get the best advice. I found this site by asking Google who put out the best 4l80e rebuild kits. Bam it sent me here. So, here it goes. I bought. a 96 k2500 3/4t, when I got it I was told the transmission was original, but the engine had been rebuilt and only had 40k miles on it. Three months later the transmission went out, and I'm FURIOUS....I have been working on all areas of the automotive industry since I was 15, I've rebuilt two transmissions when I was 19, and pulled countless others ...now I'm 36 and am NERVOUS AF about getting it right. I just wanna get some pointers please. Any advice, ideas, or input is highly appreciated. Also, since it was the 3/4t it's geared really low for pulling, I want more speed out of it with close to the same amount of durability. Who puts out the best, economical kit that will cover everything I need? Thanks guys

Thank you for the advice. I have the money to do this RIGHT NOW so I'm ready to get the project rolling. Does anyone know where I can get a rebuilt one at a decent price!?
