TransBrake - use question...
So I have a lightly upgraded 4l65E in my 5.3 swapped jeep.
Question is can a trans-brake be used instead of a line lock ?
The scenario is, I'm crawling up a hill and need to stop, could I use a trans-brake as a hill hold like feature,
I am assuming there is a time limit on it but it seems like it would be handy and more directly locking than a line lock.
Thoughts??
Thanks
Dave

Would not be my recommended use case.
Most transbrakes set best with increased pressure and volume. Usually best to have the rpm up for pump volume.
Also it will build a fair amount of heat.
Is it possible? Sure...but if you're using a "lightly upgraded" 4l60e trans how heavily are you really hill climbing that you'd necessitate this over a line lock anyway?
