05 k2500 4l80 stall shift kit help
I just picked up a 05 k2500HD 6.0/4l80/4x4 excabsb. On 33’s with 4.10 gears.
It has longtubes 1 3/4”, and a Howards Rattler low lift cam. Gigantic cold air intake also.
The trans is currently out of it. I have a good trans to go in it, but its stock. I feel like I should at least put in a shift improver/valve body kit and “maybe” a stall? I have read the stock converter will stall at 2400, is that enough for this cam?
i bought this truck for my son, who just got out of the Marines, he wants to start a pressure washing business, so it will be dragging around a 6000lb water buffalo/pressure washer. As well as just rompin around I’m sure.
I dont have a ton of money for this, im just trying to do whats best for what the combo already is. Im not looking to change the cam out, or anything else. Just get the trans done and get it on the road. So maybe $175 for the shift kit, can I get a good enough converter for this application for a couple hundred bucks?
Thanks guys!
