4l60e 2-3 flare..

4l60e 2-3 flare.. Transmission has had a 2-3 flare since built, builder went back threw it and still has flare. Builder is a reputable builder, I'm on the fence to goin to a 80e because I don't want extra weight..Anyone has any suggestions on this? Or has anyone dealt with this ?

Did your Builder provide you the Transmission Build Specifications?
The Separator Plate Orifice Sizes, and the Clutch Pack/ Band Clearances will be needed in order to discuss your Transmission.

I have had 2-3 flare when using the Sonnax Servo Release Check Valve in conjunction with a TransGo HD shift kit. Pulled it out and flare went away. I have not tried the Sonnax check valve with only a Sonnax kit to say if it was compatibility issue with the TransGo kit or the check valve itself.
As said above separator plate orifice sizes, clutch pack and band clearances along with hydraulic integrity are crucial.
