Hello, I'm about to drop a 5.3LS into my C5 and I was curious how important this coupler block for the automatic transmission flexplate is. I'm new to all this so please be gentle lol.
From the research I've done apparently it connects to the automatic transmission flexplate and is supposed to help balance the rear drive shaft in the torque tube.
Number Three is the Clamp that goes around the Splined Engagement of the Drive-Shaft (inside Torque Tube) to the back of the Engine (PTO) and Starter Motor Flex-Plate.
