4l80e differences by year??

4l80e differences by year?? I have a blown 4l80e from a 2004, savana, are there's differences each year? Or can I grab any 4l80e and use it? Assuming all are 2wds. I have the wiring and computer for the 2004.
Is a 99 the same as a 2005?

Any 96 up (I think that is the right year someone correct me if im mistaken ) will be direct bolt in with center lube. some of the earlier cases do not have top center bolt but that is not an issue and the 99 will work fine . really any unit with center case lube will be fine.
