Torque Converter Break In So Yank converters say they have a special clutch lining material that requires a special break in procedure. This procedure consists of, Driving the converter at normal speed with NO WOT starts or brake stalling the converter for approximately 150 miles. Stall checking or Brake stalling will severely damage the clutch lining if converter is not broken in properly. Should i stick to these procedures? Its 3600 Stall...

Now on a trans that is new I suggest driving normally for a 50 miles or so then let sit overnight and start warm top off and do as you will. But the only point in that for me is to get foam and air out common with first start up and run.
