Default Transmission adaptives (TAP cells)

I'm trying to learn a bit about my high mileage 265k mile 4L60E and hopefully delay it's inevitable failure in my 2005 Silverado I use for work every day.....where can I find information about these adaptives and what is typical? Also when did they start using them? These screenshots are from my 2005 Silverado with original drivetrain, ECM and everything. I was told they didn't use adaptives until 2007 when they added the ISS but as far as I can tell my truck has them.
Thanks in advance.

They existed long before that. My 95 ss has them , They can kinda mess with you on a performance build or shift kit, When I first built my trans and got going the shifts were perfect, Nice a firm, But in a short time then weakened a lot, I went in the tune looking and found a table. It's not called adaptives but that is what it is and it had actually pulled the shift pressure down and the 2-3 negative -4 not sure how much that changes stuff but I set theM and fixed them to 0.00 and did not have the issue again they stayed,
Wish I could be more help but HP tuners is not my strong point yet. But plan a 24x system for the Impala down the road then I guess I will have reason to learn my way around HP.

Thanks for the reply. My truck is all stock so far but I would like to invest in HP tuners at some point so I can tweak the trans some. I notice if I drive the crap out of it it will shift better for a couple of days and if I baby it for a while it will get soft and mushy.

Id figure out how to turn it off. And then turn it off. Check on the hp tuners website. I have a 2004 gto and my settings seem to stay. This is my settings, all factory.
