I mean they probably would work , I never done it, in early days when getting plates and such were hard i occasionally would use one when a hole was worn to large never had issue , But unless you are in a hurry i would get right ones, also note most kits come with new steel ones

I read your response as soon as you replied and was hoping somebody else would chime in saying they've done it with no problems. It is a customer's transmission so I ordered the correct ones from Summit they will be here the fastest thankfully before the Torrington bearings arrive so no biggie I will eat the shipping and just mention it to the customer when he picks it up for a laugh. Thank you for your fast response. Do you ever deburr transgo plates specifically the #8 3-4 accumulator check ball hole? It is on the rough non beveled side of the plate? Just has me thinking it could be bad for the ball. Never thought of it before surprisingly.
