Default Help with 4l60e

Hey guys I’m kinda new to this platform but wondering something. I have a 98 firebird shell and thinking of getting a 5.3 ls and putting a cam. But my issue would be with the transmission which is a 4l60e and coming out of a pickup. Will I need it to be tuned or what so it can keep up with the motor.
I am also going to buy a stall converter but want to get that issue out of the way.

The truck transmission will work just fine, but you will need an F-Body tailshaft housing that can accept the torque-arm mount.
The PCM shouldn't need any tuning to run an appropriate transmission, but it never hurts.

Can you give us more details about your plans?
