Default First 4l80e build for the street

I'm a rookie to a 4l80e trans and I wanted to know what all is needed to build one that can handle a lq4 408 f1-c pro charger. This is a squarebody c10 of minthat will not see the track. Just a fun truck that will be driven daily so I would the dependable and reliable.

Mild build with a dual fed direct drum should handle 800hp effectively.
High energy forward, direct & intermediate frictions, new sprags through out, rollerize the rear thrust/selective washer and a .088 or 1.06 727 rear clutch snap ring used for the 4L80E intermediate clutch.
I've used this kit several times with good success. Just don't let the tuner play with shift pressures. It will make the shifts to harsh because the kit elevates line pressure with the PR spring supplied.

I have also used the TransGo 4L80E-HD2 kit but I'm not fond of the separator plate. I do like their HD ring kit but the peek rings most kits have are very goo too.
If you plan on over 1000hp. Get a hardened input shaft, hardened intermediate shaft and a billet forward hub. I like Jakes performance or Transmission Specialties stuff.

Ok cool! So the parts you mentioned before the hyperlink is that a kit as well or those hard parts I would have to purchase separately?

Soft parts are the gasket & seal kit, frictions, steel plates, bands, one way clutches and things you change during a rebuild. Hard parts are the things like a pump, drums, center support and planetary gears.
Then the overhaul kits is so varied it's difficult to describe but here are the basics. Keep in mind these are industry standard descriptions. What you see on eBay or Amazon is usually the cheapest stuff they can get away with.
Overhaul kit (OH) = gaskets, seals, sealing rings, orings, lip seals and metal clad seals.
Banner kit or Master kit less steels= OH kit plus frictions.
Master kit = Banner kit plus steel plates
Super kit = Master kit plus common band, filter, required bushings and bonded pistons.
Premium kits = Super kit plus one way clutches and what ever the kit builder thinks is necessary.
I buy all my parts from Whatever It Takes transmission parts. I do look at eBay and Amazon for specific parts sometimes to save $$ but then I have to wait for delivery.
The link I showed contained some of the parts I spoke of making it easier for novice builder to put together his own "kit"
I buy my "kit" in individual components starting with Toledo or Transtec OH kit. My purchase usually has 30 line items because I want wide bushings that don't come in a kit or I want HE (high energy) frictions for specific packs that aren't in a "kit".
I have also found that sometimes you spend less $$ buying all the frictions separately.
For example but not related to your build. I use 4L65E 3-4 frictions in every 4L60E I build but most "kits" are not technically made for the 4L65E. A friction kit isn't readily available for them.

My preference would be to add a billet input shaft at 800hp. Ive seen stock ones lose the splines in the overdrive planet at that power. especially with the TQ a blower can make.
