Default Help with flexplate. 6.0 and 4l80

I currently have a thread in the conversion swaps section but need answers so please don’t flag this is a duplicate post.

we’re having issues with my LS swapped bronco. It’s using a gen 3 block and a 2005 4l80. The gen 3 block takes the regular flexplate with spacer.

originally I ordered a ac delco flexplate that needed a spacer. Instead of buying the spacer I bought this Flexplate.

Mounted the starter pictured below. Looks like it needs a 3/8” spacer to align right with the Flexplate.

We are stumped at this point. Measured both Flexplate at 14.13” diameters. See the picture above. I went and bought a Napa starter today for a 2005 Silverado 4l80 and the mounting was the same as the power master unit. It needed a spacer. So this, to me, means the Flexplate is wrong. I have no idea on where to proceed but I’m running out of time. Need to get it finished and transported across the country. You can’t really mount a flexplate incorrectly. So it has to be the flexplate since the starter has been ruled out.

does anyone have any thoughts?

Which leads me to the million dollar question. Are you sure that the flexplate is installed correctly meaning is the the concave portion of the flexplate facing towards the transmission or the engine block because if it's facing the engine this could cause your issue.
