Whats the most affordable 4L60e electronic transmission controller for a swapped auto vehicle so they dont need to run off the Vehicles pcm and engine harness? Are their others that are better like set or adjust WOT shiftpoints, remove add torque management or 0 so it shifts hard as well as lock up for torque converter?

Looking at how youd convert a 04 GTO to and automatic trans with a seperate trans controller.

 

The TCI EZ-TCU is one of the most affordable and popular standalone controllers for the 4L60E. It handles everything you need: you can set WOT shift points, adjust line pressure for firmer shifts, and control torque converter lockup. It's a self-learning unit, so it's relatively simple to set up without a laptop.

For more advanced tuning control (like removing torque management completely), the Compushift Mini or a used OEM PCM tuned specifically for the transmission would be better, but they cost more. For a straightforward swap, the TCI unit will do the job.

 

What about simply using an auto GTO 4l60 or 4l65e and crossmember. Would just need the flywheel and a good torque converter FTI or whichever.

Do you know how about TH400? would need the crossmember, flywheel spacer, flexplate , torque converter and a different driveshaft length? Are these often done? My friend likes 700R4 over the TH400 because of the overdrive and i was told they use same 4l60e internals.
