What 4L80E??

What 4L80E?? I just bought a 2008 6.2L L92 from a Yukon. Its going in a 96 Sonoma ext cab and I want to run a 4L80E.
I got the harness, ECM, TCM and peddle. My question is, What year of 4L80E would be the best?
Some transmissions are listed for 133" wheel base. Then there's programming? ECM is a E38. Any help appreciated!

Pretty much any you get will need to be rebuilt as these things are getting really old and the vehicles they come in are many times comercial and run to death before they hit a scrap yard . Personaly I like the 95 I think it is to 2003 for the larger roller sprag in OD. Later than that IMO with the small blue sprag you need to SONNAX Overun mod piece.

For General High Performance use, any model year Core can be made to work.
For Extreme use, where high temperatures can not be avoided; like a Trans-Brake with a TC dump...
Then there are very specific Model Years that should be favored.
There are Model Years that the Over-Drive and Overrun Section of the Transmission receive NO COOLED LUBRICATION AT ALL!!!
