Default Lt1 4l60e wiring harness routing

Does anyone have a picture or factory service picture of the trans wire harness mounting location to back of engine or bellhousing? Trying to keep off of header but wasnt mounted when i removed transmission. Has bracket with bolt hole.

How big is the bolt hole? Does it look like it would go on one of the bellhousing bolts, or one of those little mounts on the side of the case?

As long as you route the wiring away from heat/ moving parts, you should be good. It's not a factory swap, after all. Not everything is going to fit like it did from the factory.

It a factory 4l60e car it had a transmission changed/rebuilt in its past. I found where it most likely bolted to the motor. There is a threaded hole on the back of the passenger side head. Tried bolting to the bellhousing but bracket with harness faced the wrong direction. I can reach the back of head from the top just need a shorter bolt than the ones used for the bellhousing. Ill try to get a picture of what i'm talking about.

Throw bracket in the trash. From the factory on a Fbody harness the trans wiring section exits the stock harness at the back of the intake manifold towards the pass side runs down the bellhousing and plugs in at the connector on the trans and the VSS connection goes over the top of the tail shaft housing and plugs into the speed sensor on the tail housing..

Bracket is attatched to harness so removal with trans in place would be difficult. Got the best picture i could of threaded hole in head where i think this mounts. Its just above passenger side upper most belhousing bolt and below feed pipe bolted to back of passenger side head. Bracket circled on first picture.

Just tie it up out of harm's way with some zip-ties. GM has done MUCH shadier fixes from the factory, and it worked.

Just get the car running, and don't sweat the small stuff.
